How Do People Afford to Travel So Much?

I love to travel. It is a strong and barely controllable desire that is at my core. The problem is that I do not make a lot of money and I never have. The salaries from my jobs over the years would fall into the "slightly above average" USA income bracket. Even so, I have vacationed in 30 countries and four continents so far, with the goal of having visited all seven continents. Sometimes my friends will ask me, "How can you travel so much?" They know I am not rich and am just a regular guy. They know that I don't travel for work. So, I decided to write a book to answer their questions concerning how I get to travel as much as I do.

An anniversary trip to Madeira; an archipelago comprising 4 islands off the northwest coast of Africa.

Book aside, the fact of the matter is that people will always make sacrifices for the things that they want to do. If you love to ski, you will find and create ways to do that. If you have a passion for collecting baseball cards, you will save and sacrifice to acquire the cards you desire. This process is normal and applies to virtually anything a person wants to have or loves to do. Of course, having the freedom and resources to travel requires much more than desire.

Money and the Happy Way of Living explains how people afford to travel extensively when they are not rich. The book is a concise and straightforward guide to financial happiness, peace of mind, and contentment. The principles and life stories in the book will help the average person establish financial peace of mind, eliminate and avoid debt, and find general happiness in your financial life. This book includes many experiences from my life (learn from my mistakes) and how they relate to well-established and practical economic principles. It is on Amazon.com in print and in digital Kindle format (a link to the book is below).

I'm just a guy who is addicted to the unfamiliar who fulfills this addiction by traveling and writing about my travels. As a lover of sports, penning opinion articles related to sports is also a pastime. I am not a professional photographer, yet. I'm just a "picture taker" who is still learning the technical aspects of photography.
