Today, it is a modern and vibrant city, though it also has cultural and historic areas. The Fair City has it's renowned Dublin University, there is Dublin Castle as well as music and sporting venues. The Guinness Brewery is also in the city, and it is worth trying a pint. The Post Office building is also a place of interest to visit as it was the scene of the failed Easter Rising of 1916.
